The roof is unique and practical at the same time. It is a oblique steal ring. The longest ties will be 36 meters long. There will be no column in the stands that would disturb a perfect view. The roof construction will also hold floodlights. So there will be no classical tall floodlight columns known from other stadiums.
“The roof will be assembled on the pillars of the prefabricated construction that will be placed above the space for the spectators. The roof will be stretched by connecting rods on special piles behind the stands,“ site manager Michal Pribil explained.
The first parts of the roof are already in Eden. These are lacing ties. All four stands are already standing in Eden. The western stand started to grow up as the last one – there will be offices and premises of the football club. The gross construction will be finished at the beginning of autumn. The whole construction will be finished in March 2008.

The construction schedule of the stadium in Eden has just crossed its halfline. The gross construction comes into the final phase. The roof construction will be assembled during the summer months. The roof will be on its place in autumn.

I am English Slavista who travels to Praha often,and catch every game I can with my season ticket holder kamarad Martin Haniak ahoy Martinku hope you are logging onto this,I am back to Praha Sept 19th super if the roof is on then we can have a five a side with the workers.
