Komerční banka to open a branch in Eden

25. 2. 2008

KBAt the beginning of May 2008, Komerční banka will open a branch in the Edem multiuse complex, which also includes Slavia’s football stadium. In addition to standard banking operations clients will also have an opportunity there to request the bank’s new products, such as Flexibilní hypotéka [Flexible Mortgage Loan], and also Půjčka bez rizika [No-risk Loan] suitable, e.g., for shopping at discount.

Komerční banka currently operates 385 branches throughout the Czech Republic. “We opened eight new branches last year. The expansion of Komerční banka’s branch network will continue with a view to hitting the 400 branch mark in 18 months,” says Vladimír Jeřábek, Executive Director for the Distribution Network at KB.

Choice of location is heavily emphasised in the opening of new branches. KB’s new branches are appearing in new residential areas and at shopping centres, and in other places where they are easily accessible for the clients. The new branch in the Eden multiuse complex fits within this strategy very well.

“While in the past few years we focused on increasing the quantity of our points of sale, this year we want to concentrate more on increasing the quality of our services, including the adjustment of our opening hours to clients’ needs. Another new feature is the opening of braches that have a new form, so-called kiosks. We opened the first kiosk at a shopping centre in Ústí nad Labem at the end of 2007. We are planning to open another five to six kiosks this year,” Vladimír Jeřábek presents KB’s strategy for this year as regards the development of its branch network.

Significant amounts of funds are channelled into the training of relationship managers at branches. “Our relationship managers who work at each of the almost 400 KB branches are also able to help clients with very demanding operations such as applications for a mortgage loan, investment products, etc.,” says Vladimír Jeřábek.

The new branch in the Eden multiuse complex will also have an ATM accessible round the clock.

“We are really pleases that we can welcome Komerční banka to Eden. We want Eden to be open, friendly and, aboce all, useful, and this partnership is exactly like this,” says Alexandr Kliment of the investor’s agency, E Side Advertising.

Komerční banka is the third largest bank in the Czech Republic in terms of total assets. It provides comprehensive services to clients in the areas of retail, corporate, and investment banking. Komerční banka’s 7,700 employees serve 1,560,000 clients, who can use an extensive network of 385 points of sale throughout the country. Komerční banka currently operates 661 ATMs and more than 880,000 of its clients use one of direct banking channels.

Komerční banka is part of the Société Générale group, one of the largest banking groups in the euro zone, whose 120,000 employees serve more than 24.5 million individual clients in 77 countries.
