It does not seem to be a long time ago when the foundations works started in Eden. And now when the spring just arrived the prefabricated construction of the East and South stands are almost complete! The new stadium started growing up from the ground only on February 5. “We have been working in the North and put tie bars into the piles in the West part,“ the site manager Michal Pribil said.
Monday, 10:00 AM. The circle is being closed. The first column of the North Stand is put into its position. “We have installed it in the North-West part of the site to the Pile No. 120 in the axis 7H4. There are three big cranes in the site now,“ Site Manager Michal Pribil said. The column is three meter high and weighs two tons. The assembly of the remaining columns will quickly follow, so the constructors will be able to put the stand benches.
The foundation phase of the construction of Eden stadium has been completed. The foundations consisting of 603 piles was finished. “We finished the last pile on Monday, it is situated in the North-Eastern part of the site in the place where the entrance to the underground parking zone is going to be,“ the site manager Michal Přibil said.
After the East Stand also the southern part of new Slavia stadium started to grow. „Since Monday we have been setting up the columns,“ site manager Michal Přibil from Hochtief CZ confirmed. Another crane appeared also at the site. “We have reinforced the working force at the site with the second assembly unit.“ Přibil added. At the same time the construction has been continuing in the Eastern part. „The columns are on their place, we have been assembling benches, and adding supporting joints.“
On Monday shortly after four o´clock in the evening a new phase of the Eden stadium construction started. General Manager of Hochtief CZ company Tomas Bilek gave an order directly from the site and the crane allocated the first column to the prepared iron-concrete pile. The assembly of these constructions will last till June, the stadium skeleton will be finished in September.“The construction works continue according to the plan, and we also fully capitalise the advantageous weather during this winter,“ Bilek said.
The spring-like weather of the last weeks is over. It is heavily snowing in the Czech Republic, Prague is not any exception. The temperatures dropped to the zero. “We have been working on,” said Michal Přibil, site manager from Hochtief company. “We just need to adopt some measures for the construction in winter,” he added.
The foundations of the stadium have been being built for many weeks. The classical constructions usually stand on long stripes of concrete, you may have seen at the constructions of small and middle size. The new stadium in Eden will stand on several hundreds of piles. What this pile actually is?
